METAL TRADE COMAX, a.s.

We have been supplying high-quality steel and aluminium products for major industrial customers in construction, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry for 50 years.

We are the only producer and expoerter of continuously coated sheet metal in the Czech Republic, and we are a major European producer of coil coated sheet metal registered in the ECCA. We are one of few companies that can coat both steel and aluminium.

We cut coated and uncoated coils into strips and sheets or profile them into modern sheet metal and produce a wide range of steel shapes with the possibility of precise laser cutting and punching.

Our social responsibility

COMAX HAS SOLAR SOLUTION

Fifteen years ago, we commissioned our first rooftop solar power plant in Velvary, which was refurbished in 2024. In the same year, we installed a second power plant in Velvary and commissioned a third in Kolín. These new installations increased the total capacity to 2 MWp, with renewable energy accounting for 8.5 per cent in 2025. Batteries have been supporting efficiency since 2025. By 2027, we plan to increase the solar power plant’s capacity to 2.25 MWp and expand storage capacity by 2 MWh.

COMAX HOUSING PROJECT

COMAX APARTMENTS comprise a complex of three modern apartment blocks in a quiet location in the Velvary centre. We are currently constructing the last phase of the poject (apartment block C), which brings 35 flats to the reality market. Within the first month of sales commencing, 40 per cent of the block C capacity had been reserved. Thanks to the photovoltaic system, the block C has an ‘A’ energy rating (exceptionally energy-efficient) and will be completed in spring 2028.

WE ARE PART OF COMMUNITY

We donated the proceeds from the sale of our PEOPLE 2026 charity calendar to the town of Velvary to support its community life. Over the past two decades, we have donated CZK 25,000,000 (EUR 1 million) to charity. We would like to thank our employees who participate in our charity activities.
