The new COMAX coating line has received a building permit.
The METAL TRADE COMAX coating line for coating aluminum and galvanized sheet metal is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic and represents state-of-the-art technology that guarantees high-quality coated products and environmental sustainability.
Coated sheets are indispensable in a number of major industrial sectors – from the production of roofing materials, sheet metal components, shading systems, garage doors, fence panels, and vehicles to the shipbuilding industry.
In April 2024, we received a positive expert assessment of the investment plan to build a second coating line in Velvary (EIA), and this June we obtained a building permit.
What lies ahead?
- Relocation of high-voltage power lines, a gas pipeline, and data cables at the construction site
- Excavation of 65,000 m³ of soil
- Pouring 4,000 m³ of concrete
- Construction of an industrial hall with administrative facilities and a parking lot covering an area of 12,000 m²
- Installation, trial operation, and full launch of the new line in 2029
In terms of scope, this project is the largest in our company’s history, reaching 1.5 billion CZK.
Our participation in ECCA conferences, attended by all major European competitors, paint suppliers, technology providers, as well as key customers and architects, allows us to monitor trends in the sheet metal coating industry and select the right technological solutions.
The new line will not only allow us to increase production flexibility (a broader product portfolio), but will also be our significant contribution to the European Green Deal.
