METAL TRADE COMAX, a.s.

We have been supplying high-quality steel and aluminium products for major industrial customers in construction, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry for 50 years.

We are the only producer and expoerter of continuously coated sheet metal in the Czech Republic, and we are a major European producer of coil coated sheet metal registered in the ECCA. We are one of few companies that can coat both steel and aluminium.

We cut coated and uncoated coils into strips and sheets or profile them into modern sheet metal and produce a wide range of steel shapes with the possibility of precise laser cutting and punching.

Our social responsibility

COMAX HAS SOLAR SOLUTION

Fifteen years ago, we implemented our first rooftop PV power plant in Velvary, which underwent a complete renovation in 2024. In 2024, we installed the second rooftop PV plant. The third PV plant has been installed at our plant in Kolín, where the electricity generated, with battery storage, covers 100% of our Kolín consumption. Our three PV plants with a total capacity of 2 MWp cover approx. 15% of our consumption without encroaching on any land. We are pleased we are succeeding in reducing our carbon footprint.

COMAX HOUSING PROJECT

METAL TRADE COMAX provides its employees with a range of benefits on an ongoing basis. One of the most exclusive is the opportunity to purchase a new apartment in the "BYTY COMAX" project for personal or cooperative ownership at a discount for employees. And we haven't forgotten about our employees who are interested in rental housing – we will arrange affordable rental housing for them in the new apartments of the BYTY COMAX project.

WE ARE PART OF COMMUNITY

This year, we donated the proceeds from our annual employee raffle to the neonatal ward at Slaný Hospital. Supporting the community is important to us, and we are particularly pleased that this time we were able to contribute to the care of kids. Over two decades, we have donated more than CZK 25 million (approximately EUR 1 million) to charitable causes. We would like to thank all our employees who participate in our charitable events.
