COMAX reduces its carbon footprint.
In 2023, we started planning of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 0.81 MWp for our MTC Kolín production site, to exploit the potential of our large roofs and make our halls energy self-sufficient. In autumn 2023, we obtained a building permit and installed the solar power plant in spring 2024.
Solar energy covers 100% of the energy consumption of our production plant in Kolín and, together with our other investment projects, helps to reduce our environmental footprint. The investment was supported by a National Renewal Plan grant of 40% of eligible expenditure.
