New technology gets the go-ahead - METAL TRADE COMAX, a.s.

We will build a new coil-coating line in Velvary.

In the magical setting of the Prague Planetarium, we celebrated our company’s achievements over the past three years – from international acquisitions to new brands – together with 265 guests.

A key milestone we shared with our guests was the successful completion of the permitting process for the new coating line, which allows us to begin construction work and the delivery of equipment – worth over 1 billion CZK – in the near future. In terms of scope, this project is the largest in our company’s history.

The existing METAL TRADE COMAX coating line for coating aluminum and galvanized sheet metal is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic and is a state-of-the-art facility that guarantees high-quality coated products and environmental sustainability. The new technology will surpass it.

Coated sheet metal is indispensable in a number of key industrial sectors – ranging from roofing and cladding materials and metalwork to shading systems, domestic appliances, garage doors, fencing panels, road vehicles and the shipbuilding industry.

We expect to launch the new technology in 2029.
