Businesspeople from the Slaný region discussed the future of the economy and exports.
Cooperation between companies and the state administration, support for businesses, and the current economic outlook were the main topics of the meeting of major businesspeople hosted by METAL TRADE COMAX, a.s. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The meeting was attended by representatives of LINET spol. s r.o., F. X. Meiller Slaný s.r.o., Oetinger CZ s.r.o., VCES, a.s., the management of METAL TRADE COMAX, a.s., and representatives of public administration, led by the mayors of Slaný and Velvary. The meeting focused on two key topics that are currently having a major impact on the business environment:
- Why is our economy struggling? – with an emphasis on industry and construction
- Land-use planning in practice – as a basis for the further development of companies and cities
Leading experts presented their views on the issues: a representative of the Czech Export Bank, a legal expert on spatial planning, the Deputy Minister of Finance, the President of the Association of Entrepreneurs in Construction, and a member of parliament and Vice-Chairman of the Budget Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.
As the host, COMAX presented not only its modern production facilities but also its upcoming major investment project – a new continuous coating line worth CZK 1 billion.
