Production of welded profiles in Comax increases
New high-capacity welding line will multiply the production capacity of the profiling centre
On the site of our production facility in Litovel, we opened a modern 3,130 m² production hall in December 2022 for trial operation. The hall is functionally connected to the existing production hall and was built to expand the production capacity – the hall will be used for the production and storage of thin-walled welded profiles made of galvanized sheet metal for the production of plastic windows and doors.
Currently, a modern automatic welding line and an automatic band saw for cutting profile bundles to precise lengths are being installed in the hall, and laser production equipment for burning holes and cutting precise lengths of profiles has been put into operation.
The reinforced concrete hall is single-storey, clad in a system of sandwich panels with thermal insulation, and the roof cladding is fitted with polycarbonate skylights. The roof will be purposefully used for a renewable energy source – we are installing 0.8 MWh of photovoltaic panels during 2023.
The construction of the hall included the construction of new paved site roads, the building of office and sanitary facilities, the construction of a site substation, a nitrogen storage tank for the newly installed laser equipment, the extension of the rainwater harvesting pit and new fencing of the site.
- 2,000 m³ of soil moved
- 1.600 m³ of concrete consumed
- Hall floor area 3,130 m², attic height 10.5 m
- Roof area efficiently used for renewable energy
- The amount of investment incl. new production equipment amounted to 6,25 million EUR.
- Construction time: 11 months
The hall will be approved by the end of 2023.
