Metallurgy

The METALLURGICAL OPERATION is engaged in manufacturing alloys and master alloys of non-ferous metals on the basis of aluminium and copper and manufacturing history in Velvary dates back to the 1930s. Since 2017, the company has two production plants for aluminum processing in Germany.

Besides the ingots casting technology, the company also uses liquid aluminium transport technology that significantly saves time and energy consumption during further processing at the customer´s end.

The modern metallurgical laboratories are equipped with peak measuring instruments for diagnostics of chemical composion of both raw materials and finnished products, emission spectrometers, an equipment for measuring the density index as well as metallurgical microscopes. An inspection cerficate is issued for any melt.

Alloys and master alloys are intended for use in the foundry where they produce castings especially for the automotive, engineering, electrotechnical or chemical industries.

The output reaches 220.000 tons of products per year and the manufacturing process quality is meeting the international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and ISO 50001.

Laboratory

The up-to-date metallurgic laboratory is equipped with top measuring instruments for diagnostics of chemical composition of non-ferrous metals, and has SPECTRO and Q8 MAGELLAN emission spectrometers, a density measurement device and a metallurgic microscope at its disposal. The inspection certificate is automatically issued to each melt.
